పురుషోత్తం దాస్ టాండన్ గురించి

He was known to be as an Indian freedom fighter. He made significant efforts to make Hindi an official language of our country. He was known to be as Rajashri which means Royal Saint. In the year 1961, Purushottam Das Tandon received Bharat Ratna from the Indian Government which is considered as the highest civilian award of our country. Purushottam Das Tandon became a member of congress in 1899. He was also elected in the Lok Sabha in 1952 and after that to Rajya Sabha in the year 1956. Purushottam Das Tandon was known to be as the staunch believer of Ahimsa. Because of his selfless attitude or nature, People used to call him as Rajashri.
